Largemouth Bass

Norfork, Arkansas, is a fantastic destination for Largemouth Bass anglers, thanks to its proximity to both Norfork Lake and the North Fork River. The lake provides classic deep-water structure fishing, while the river offers a more intimate, flowing-water experience. Spring and fall are prime times to target Largemouth here. During the spring spawn, focus on shallow coves and banks in Norfork Lake, especially around flooded timber. In the fall, as the water cools, bass will move shallower again to feed before winter. For river fishing, try working crankbaits and spinnerbaits along the banks and around fallen trees. A local tip: Norfork Lake is known for its clear water, so downsizing your line and using natural-colored lures can be highly effective. The Henderson Access Area is a popular boat launch, offering easy access to a large portion of the lake. Norfork Largemouth are known to be aggressive, especially during the pre-spawn and post-spawn periods.
