Largemouth Bass

Siloam Springs offers some excellent Largemouth Bass fishing in its many small lakes and ponds. Lake Bella Vista and Lake Keith are popular destinations. Spring and fall are the peak seasons, as bass are actively feeding before and after the heat of summer. Focus on shallow water with vegetation, docks, and other structure. Topwater lures, spinnerbaits, and soft plastics are all effective choices. The bass in this region tend to be aggressive, so don't be afraid to experiment with different retrieves. For bank fishing, try Lake Keith Park, which provides easy access and plenty of shoreline. A local tip: During the summer months, try fishing early in the morning or late in the evening to avoid the heat and take advantage of the bass's increased activity. Many of the smaller ponds are best fished with a kayak or canoe, allowing you to reach secluded areas.
