Largemouth Bass

Newtown, CT, is a great spot to chase Largemouth Bass, with several smaller lakes and ponds offering excellent fishing. Zoar Lake and Lake Lillinonah, though larger and requiring a bit of a drive, are renowned for their bass populations. The best time to target Largemouth here is during the spring spawning season (May-June) and the fall (September-October) when they are actively feeding to prepare for winter.
