The best time to target bass here is during the late spring and early summer, when they are actively spawning and guarding their nests in the shallows. Topwater lures can be incredibly effective during this time, as can Texas-rigged worms and spinnerbaits. A practical tip: many of these lakes have limited or no public access, so be sure to obtain permission before fishing from private property. Also, pay attention to water clarity – stained water often calls for darker-colored lures, while clear water may require more natural presentations.
