Novi offers a mix of suburban ponds and lakes holding largemouth bass, providing convenient fishing close to home. While you won't find trophy-class giants consistently, several local spots offer decent bass fishing, especially for anglers with limited time. Walled Lake, one of the larger lakes in the area, is a popular option, but even smaller community ponds can hold surprising numbers of bass. Focus your efforts in the spring (pre-spawn and spawn) and fall when the bass are most active. Target areas with docks, weed lines, and submerged structure. Plastic worms, crankbaits, and topwater lures are all effective. A local tip: many of the smaller ponds are heavily fished, so experiment with different presentations and lure retrieves to find what the bass are responding to on a given day.
