Largemouth Bass

Largemouth bass anglers visiting Bruning, Nebraska, should focus on the area's smaller reservoirs and farm ponds. These often-overlooked gems hold some surprisingly large bass. Spring and fall are the peak seasons. During the spring spawn, target shallow, weedy areas with soft plastics or spinnerbaits. In the fall, as the water cools, bass will move to deeper water near creek channels and drop-offs. Crankbaits and jigs are effective during this time.
