Largemouth Bass

Park Ridge, NJ, offers some solid largemouth bass fishing within a short drive. While there isn't a major bass fishery directly in town, explore the surrounding lakes and ponds in Bergen County and Rockland County (NY). Lake Tappan, Pascack Brook County Park Pond, and even smaller, lesser-known ponds can hold surprisingly good bass populations. Spring (pre-spawn and spawn) and fall are the prime times, as bass are most active feeding up before and after the heat of summer. Early mornings and late evenings often produce the best results.
