During the summer months, focus on fishing early in the morning or late in the evening to avoid the heat and increased recreational activity. A local tip is to target areas with heavy cover, such as lily pads, submerged logs, or overhanging vegetation, as these provide ambush points for bass. Public access is generally good along the Rahway River Parkway, making it easy to find a spot to fish.
