Northern Pike

If you're targeting Northern Pike in the Tecumseh, Michigan area, you'll want to focus your efforts on the River Raisin and the smaller lakes and backwaters connected to it. Tecumseh's section of the Raisin offers diverse structure, from fallen timber and weed beds to deeper pools, all holding pike. Spring is prime time, as pike move into shallower areas to spawn. Fall is also excellent as they actively feed before winter. For bank access, try the areas around Tecumseh's parks, where the river is easily accessible. A local tip: focus on areas with current breaks or where smaller tributaries enter the main river, as these spots often concentrate baitfish and, subsequently, pike. The pike in this area aren't known for massive size, but they are plentiful and aggressive, making for exciting action on lighter tackle.
