Smallmouth Bass

While Driggs, Idaho is better known for its trout fishing, determined anglers can find some smallmouth bass action in the Teton River and its connected sloughs. These fish won't reach trophy sizes, but they offer a fun challenge in a scenic setting. Focus on areas with rocky structure, deeper pools, and current breaks. Summer is the prime time to target smallmouth, as the water warms up and they become more active. Small crankbaits, tubes, and jigs are effective lures.
