Boca Raton offers exceptional snook fishing, particularly around the inlets and bridges that connect the Intracoastal Waterway to the Atlantic Ocean. These ambush predators thrive in the brackish waters and are drawn to structure. The best time to target snook here is during the warmer months, especially spring and fall, when they are actively feeding and spawning near the inlets. Live bait like pilchards and mullet are highly effective, but artificial lures that mimic these forage fish also produce. A key tip is to fish around the tide changes, as the moving water brings in baitfish and triggers feeding activity. Spanish River Park and South Inlet Park provide good access points. Be aware of the local size and bag limits, as snook regulations are strictly enforced to maintain a healthy population.
