Snook fishing here is best during the warmer months, particularly spring and fall, as the fish are more active and feeding aggressively. Focus on areas with structure, such as docks, mangroves, and bridges. These provide cover for snook to ambush their prey. Live bait, like pilchards or shrimp, is always a good choice, but artificial lures can also be effective. Try throwing swimbaits or jerkbaits around structure. One key to success in Jensen Beach is to pay attention to the tides. Snook often congregate near inlets and passes during incoming and outgoing tides to feed on baitfish being swept through the current. For access, try fishing from the Jensen Beach Causeway or launching a boat at one of the many public ramps along the Indian River. The local snook population is known for its impressive size, so be prepared for a good fight!
