Striped Bass

While not a common target, landlocked Striped Bass can occasionally be found in some of the larger reservoirs and lakes near Bennington, Nebraska, particularly those connected to the Platte River system. These fish are typically the result of stocking programs and can offer a unique angling experience. They roam open water, often schooling and feeding on baitfish. Trolling crankbaits or casting swimbaits are effective techniques for locating them. Spring and fall are the best times to target Striped Bass, as they follow baitfish migrations.
