If you're chasing stripers near Smyrna, Tennessee, Percy Priest Lake is your primary target. This reservoir, formed by the Stones River, offers excellent striped bass fishing opportunities, particularly in the spring and fall. During the spring, focus on the upper reaches of the lake as stripers move upstream to spawn. Trolling with large crankbaits or live shad is a productive method. In the fall, look for schooling stripers feeding on baitfish near the main lake points and humps. Keep an eye on your electronics to locate these bait balls.
