White Bass

Diamond City, Arkansas, offers some fantastic white bass fishing, particularly in Bull Shoals Lake. What makes Bull Shoals so productive is its vast size and diverse structure. White bass thrive here, especially during their spring spawning runs up the lake's tributaries, like the White River and its many creeks. This is when the fishing is at its absolute peak, typically from late March through April. Focus on areas near creek mouths and shallow, rocky points. Another great time is fall, as the fish school up to feed before winter. For bank access, check out the areas around the Highway 7 bridge or the Bull Shoals State Park. If you're launching a boat, the state park has a well-maintained ramp. A local tip: white bass in Bull Shoals can be fickle, so be prepared to experiment with different lures.
