The best time to target Flounder here is during the fall migration as they move offshore to spawn. They'll be feeding heavily before they go. Focus your efforts around creek mouths and areas with sandy or muddy bottoms near structure. A good local tip: try drifting live shrimp or mud minnows along the bottom with a Carolina rig. Flounder are masters of camouflage, so slow, deliberate presentations are key. Also, be mindful of the tides. Flounder often stage up on the down-current side of structure, waiting for bait to be swept by.
