Belleville Lake and the surrounding Huron River offer some solid largemouth bass fishing near Belleville, Michigan. Belleville Lake itself, a 1,270-acre impoundment, is a popular spot. A local tip: Pay attention to water clarity, as Belleville Lake can sometimes get murky after heavy rains. Adjust your lure colors accordingly, opting for brighter options in stained water. The bass in this area can be pressured, so try using a variety of techniques, including flipping jigs around docks, casting crankbaits along weedlines, and working topwater lures in the early morning or late evening. Public boat launches are available on Belleville Lake, providing easy access to the water.
