Northern Pike

While not known as a pike hotspot, the forest preserve lakes around Orland Hills, Illinois, can occasionally produce northern pike, especially in waters connected to larger systems. Consider using weedless lures or techniques to navigate these areas effectively. While trophy-sized pike are rare, hooking into one of these toothy predators can be an exciting experience.
