Rainbow Trout

While not a renowned trout destination, Raymond, Wisconsin, does offer some limited opportunities for Rainbow Trout fishing, often through stocking programs in select lakes and ponds. These stockings supplement the natural populations and provide anglers with a chance to catch these beautiful fish. Spring and fall are the best times to target stocked trout, as they are more active in cooler water temperatures. Try fishing near the stocking locations, as the fish will often congregate in these areas. A local tip: use small spinners or spoons to attract the trout, or try bait fishing with worms or corn. Access to these lakes is usually available through public boat launches or shore fishing areas. The Rainbow Trout in Raymond tend to be of a smaller to moderate size, but the thrill of catching them makes it a worthwhile pursuit.
