Spotted Bass

Gillsville, Georgia, offers some fantastic spotted bass fishing opportunities in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. While Lake Lanier is also known for its largemouth, it's a true spotted bass factory and a great place to start. You can often find smaller lakes closer to Gillsville, like those along the Chattahoochee River, that offer less pressured fishing.
