If you're chasing walleye near Riverside, Wyoming, your best bet is to head to some of the larger reservoirs within a reasonable drive. While the Encampment River itself isn't known for walleye, the surrounding area offers opportunities. Seminoe and Pathfinder Reservoirs, while a bit of a drive, hold decent populations. Spring and fall are generally the most productive times, as walleye tend to be more active in cooler water. Jigging with minnows or crankbaits along rocky points and submerged humps is a popular and effective tactic.
