White Bass

For some fast-paced action, consider targeting white bass near Marble Falls, Arkansas. These schooling fish are abundant in Bull Shoals Lake and offer excellent fishing opportunities, particularly during their spring spawning run. As the water warms, white bass migrate upstream to spawn in the tributaries of the lake. During this time, they can be caught in large numbers using small jigs, spinners, or crankbaits. Focus on areas with current, such as below dams or in narrow sections of the rivers. Even after the spawn, white bass remain active throughout the summer and fall, often schooling near points and humps. Look for birds diving on baitfish, a sure sign that white bass are nearby. Access to the lake and its tributaries is readily available from numerous boat ramps and public access points. Be sure to check local regulations regarding size and creel limits.
