These powerful fish are most active around rocky shorelines, harbors, and nearshore reefs. While Ulua can be caught year-round, the larger specimens are often encountered during the cooler months, from late fall through early spring. Focus your efforts during dawn and dusk, when the Ulua are actively hunting.
