Northern Pike

Targeting Northern Pike near East Hazel Crest means exploring the forest preserve lakes and sloughs dotting the landscape. While not every body of water will hold pike, those that do can offer some exciting fishing opportunities. Spring, shortly after ice-out, is a particularly productive time to target pike as they move into shallow weedy areas to spawn and feed.
