Anglers willing to put in the time can find walleye, especially during the spring and fall migrations. These fish move upriver to spawn or seek deeper, cooler water as temperatures change. Focus your efforts around structure like submerged timber, bridge pilings, and rocky outcroppings where walleye ambush prey. Early morning and late evening are prime times.
